This Privacy Policy explains how Microphone Link (the "App", "we", "us", or "our"), developed by PURPLE NIGHT Inc, handles your information when you use our mobile application and desktop client. Your privacy is our top priority. Our product is built around a local-only architecture, meaning your audio and connection data stay entirely private within your own local network.

1. Local Network Architecture

Microphone Link acts as a bridge to stream real-time audio from your iPhone to your PC. This transmission operates exclusively over your Local Area Network (LAN) via Wi-Fi.

• No Internet Required: Audio packets are encoded and sent directly to your PC client. No internet connection is used to transmit audio.
• No Cloud Servers: We do not route your audio streams through external servers or cloud services.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We believe in strict data minimization. The App does not collect, record, store, or share any personal data.

• No Audio Recording or Storage: Audio data captured by your microphone is processed in volatile memory (RAM) and streamed in real-time. It is never written to disk, stored, or recorded.
• No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, accounts, or any personal details. No user registration is required.
• No Tracking or Analytics: The App does not contain third-party trackers, advertisements, or analytics SDKs. We do not monitor your usage habits.

3. Device Permissions & Usage

To function properly, Microphone Link requires specific system permissions. Here is why we need them and how they are used:

• Microphone (iOS): Used solely to capture your voice in real-time so that it can be transmitted as a virtual microphone input to your PC.
• Local Network (iOS/macOS): Required to discover your PC client on the same Wi-Fi network and establish a direct connection to stream audio packets.
• Camera (iOS): Used exclusively to scan the connection QR code generated by the desktop client. This provides an automated, secure way to pair devices.
• Background Modes (iOS): Allows the App to continue streaming audio when the screen is locked or when you switch to another app, ensuring uninterrupted microphone usage.

4. Data Security

Connecting your iPhone to your PC is protected by PIN pairing. The desktop client displays a random PIN (encoded within the QR code). The mobile app will only transmit audio to a client after successfully verifying this PIN locally, preventing unauthorized devices on your Wi-Fi from connecting or intercepting your feed.
